SlideMoor is a boat docking system that brings together many of the advantages of a floating dock with the appeal of a traditional fixed dock. The system makes docking safer and easier while mitigating the risks associated with tidal change, wind, and wave activity. Slidemoor eliminates the need or fenders, bumpers, spring lines, bowlines, stern lines, mooring whips, and outer tie pilings.

SlideMoor takes the guesswork out of tying up your boat, solving many of the docking and mooring issues encountered by boaters. This simple, yet effective system, secures your boat tightly to sliding bumpers on one side only. The vertical motion caused by the waves and tides moves the slide up and down with the boat.

Lateral movement is practically eliminated with the system. Loading and unloading becomes safer and easier because the boat is tied tightly to the Slidemoor bumper, merely inches from your dock.

The aluminum SlideMoor track is available in both an "I-Beam" and "Y-Beam" style. The SlideMoor "I-Beam" track is specifically designed to accommodate attachment to square pilings and flat surfaces. The SlideMoor "Y-Beam" track is specifically designed to better accommodate attachment to round member pilings as well as providing easier installation of the required lag bolts.

Conditions for Using SlideMoor Effectively:

SlideMoor Usage: The SlideMoor system is used to secure your boat and mitigate the risks associated with tidal change, wind, and wave activity. SlideMoor can be used on lakes, rivers, bays, canals, and most other waterways. The SlideMoor system accommodates both motorboats and sailboats. SlideMoor is intended to be used in protected and calm conditions.

Boat Cleat & SlideMoor Line Up: Since the SlideMoor system works on one side only, the location of your piling/track with regard to the cleats on your boat will be your most important consideration. As every docking situation is unique, SlideMoor will not always line up with your boat cleats. If this is the case, users will typically add a cleat to their boat directly in line with the piling/track OR add or move a piling to be directly in line with the cleat on the boat to ensure proper line up of the SlideMoor and the boat cleats.

SlideMoor in Rough Waters: If your boat design uses deck cleats that are located on the boat much higher than the rub rail, and your boat is in a location that has waves or other means of rocking your boat, then SlideMoor may NOT be suitable for your application. The leverage caused by the spacing between the cleats and the rub rail may pop the cleats off or break the rope. (See Fig 1.2 on the "Conditions for Using SlideMoor Effectively" PDF below)

Abnormal Hull Shapes: Some larger boats with very vertical sides as found towards the stern may also make contact with the track if used in wavy conditions. (See Fig 1.3 on the "Conditions for Using SlideMoor Effectively" PDF below) In calmer areas, such as protected canals or marinas, this is usually not a problem.

The boat width at the rub rail must be at least as wide as the hull directly below the attaching cleat. Therefore, many older style hulls with designs that bulge out at the water line or have a spray rail just below the cleat might not be able to use SlideMoor. (See Fig 1.4 on the "Conditions for Using SlideMoor Effectively" PDF below)

SlideMoor is not a universal system, but can be used for the majority of boats and docking situations. SlideMoor can solve docking problems for most hull shapes, boat sizes, and weights.

SlideMoor units are custom fabricated when ordered and are therefore considered special order items, which are non-refundable and non-returnable.
